Located on Museumplein in Amsterdam, the museum is easy to reach by tram, bus, bike, or on foot. It stands beside the Rijksmuseum and Stedelijk Museum in the city’s cultural quarter.
From Amsterdam Centraal, take tram 2, 5, or 12 to Museumplein or Van Baerlestraat; the ride is about 15–20 minutes. From Amsterdam Zuid, tram 5 is convenient.
Driving in central Amsterdam is not recommended. If needed, park at Q-Park Museumplein or a P+R parking on the city’s edge and continue by tram or bike.
From Schiphol Airport, bus 397 stops at Rijksmuseum/Museumplein; from there it’s a short walk. City buses and trams also serve the area frequently.
From the Canal Belt, it’s a pleasant 20–30 minute walk to Museumplein. Follow signs to the Rijksmuseum and continue toward the grassy square.
